Overview
An RF-safe biocompatible signal conditioning board designed to operate within the bore of clinical MRI scanners without introducing image artefacts, heating, or patient safety risks.
- Strict RF safety compliance under high SAR exposure conditions.
- Fiber optic data links preventing conducted RF coupling and ground loops.
- Fully non-magnetic bill of materials and mechanical hardware.
- High-performance physiological signal gating to filter imaging gradient noise.
- Validated under 3-Tesla scanners using phantom and calorimetric temperature tests.

Challenge
Designing a high speed data acquisition interface that operates inside a 3 Tesla MRI bore without causing image artifacts or suffering from RF interference.
Solution
Used non-magnetic components, extensive differential shield layers, opto-isolated signaling, and full linear-only power conversion.
Outcome
Passed all safety and diagnostic imaging tests, showing zero scan distortion and high fidelity signal capture.
